yoga with Steve

yoga, community,

wellbeing

Yoga, for me, is a reconnection — a way back to yourself. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s about giving yourself time and space to just be, to ask “Who am I, really?” and “What do I want my life to be about?”

I believe yoga isn’t just a practice — it’s a path. A path that gently guides you back to who you truly are, and helps you live from that place. Learning and practicing yoga has transformed my day-to-day well-being. It’s changed how I feel, how I move, and how I connect with others.

And I want to share that with you.

Yoga That’s For You.

My classes are for all ages, all abilities, and all levels of experience.

This isn’t about being bendy or ‘doing it right’. This is about listening to your body; and bringing your mind, body, and spirit back into union.

Tired of feeling stuck in your thoughts?
Tired of feeling more negative than positive?
Tired of feeling like your body and mind are working against you instead of with you?

You’re not alone. And while yoga isn’t a magic fix (life will always be life!), it can help you find your true path again — the one that’s always been yours.

What You Can Expect

I bring a mix of Zen Yoga, as taught by Master Daizan of Zenways, alongside the depth of Raja Yoga studied with yogi Mike Lever, and the philosophy of Living Yoga from the Yoga Sanctuary in Hamble. This means my classes blend heart, humour, structure and softness — with space for both stillness and growth.

We use Sukha — to soften — to help gently navigate your yoga journey.

No pressure. No competition.

Just a welcoming, nourishing space to explore what yoga can bring to your life.

Ready to Begin?

This is a new beginning.
And there’s never been a better time to start.

At worst, you’ll meet great, down-to-earth people trying to live with more ease. At best, it could change your life — just like it did mine.

Let’s take that first step back toward who you really are.

what people are saying

Steve White is a superb instructor. His classes are welcoming for all ‘newbies’ . He strikes a friendly and effective manner and although V few of his students will see their 30th birthday again, they achieve strong and positive yoga results. He demonstrates a  combination of a great welcome, and a relaxed but effective class. He has therefore built a loyal following. I could not recommend either his classes or his manner of teaching strongly enough. If you have half an inkling to learn yoga, this is the man to teach you. A superb instructor, empathetic, sympathetic and very effective.

J & W MYLES

I went to my first Yoga class with an open mind not really knowing if it was going to be my type of thing, but my wife said it would be good, so we went.

At my first class I felt a little awkward to start with but soon got in to it.

Steve is an excellent teacher and makes sure that the class is enjoyable for all levels as he says work to your edge and listen to your body, so it’s not a competition.

I can honestly say I enjoy every Monday class and so does my wife Yana. We also have our friends joining us every week now.

I feel more relaxed and listen more to my body and breathing which helps me through the week.

We are now on our second term and would highly recommend coming along. The class is welcoming and friendly, and full of lovely people.

STEVE & YANA

When I first started yoga I didn’t expect anything to happen for me personally at all, but after really getting into the swing of it and fully immersing myself in the classes, I feel amazing and have done so since starting yoga. I am feeling better in my mind and with clarity. I love our breathwork, but also the flow and feeling - like my body has fully relaxed more when I have a busy week ahead. I would definitely recommend. Steve's yoga classes help you in all areas, and the people in the class are just such a friendly group of people - with the best instructor!

GRACE

So, I am a bit competitive - just saying! - and trying Yoga has really helped me to focus on what is right for me.  Me & Baz enjoy coming along together and I have been pleasantly surprised at what I have been able to do. There are moves that I am better at, and Steve’s mindful teaching style always encourages all of us to persevere with the moves that are a bit more of a challenge. I don’t think I’ll ever manage The  Crow but I will still keep trying! Thank you Steve for your insight, patience and all round enthusiasm at every class. 🙏

I was very nervous about starting yoga as I didn’t know anyone, but I put on my big girl pants and walked through the door, and as soon as I met Steve he put me at ease. All the others are lovely people too so makes it really enjoyable, I love my Monday evenings. Steve is very patient and doesn't make it a competition, saying to us to all "work to our own boundaries and strengths."  If you get the opportunity to go to one of Steve’s groups, I suggest you take it - you certainly won’t regret it.
